ABOUT COLM A. KEANE

Colm is a criminal defense attorney with extensive experience representing individuals from all walks of life in a wide range of cases, from traffic violations to high-level felonies. He is a former prosecutor and has a breadth of jury trial experience in both misdemeanors and felonies. Colm has worked on numerous cases resulting in not guilty verdicts, dismissals, or significant reductions for his clients, including Driving While Intoxicated, drug crimes, thefts, weapons crimes, aggravated assaults, and assaults. He has also worked as a member of defense teams representing clients accused of murder. Additionally, Colm has helped many clients clear their records of past errors by obtaining expunctions and orders of non-disclosure throughout Texas. He has years of experience helping people with their Texas License to Carry a Handgun, dealing with delays, denials, suspensions, and revocations.

Colm was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, and attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory before earning his B.S. in Print Journalism from Texas State University. After a brief stint as a journalist, he enrolled at South Texas College of Law. Colm was admitted to the Texas bar in 2013 and began working as a prosecutor with the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. He then moved into private practice as a criminal defense and family trial lawyer. In 2021, Colm was admitted to the United States Southern District of Texas to represent individuals accused of federal crimes locally. In 2022, he founded Keane Law, PLLC.

Colm is recognized as one of Texas Monthly’s Super Lawyers Rising Stars, a Houstonia Magazine’s Top Lawyers, has earned multiple Lead Counsel Ratings, and is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and Galveston County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
